Training
United Aftermarket Network (UAN) offers two training
initiatives in a bid to forge closer links between distributors
and garages to enhance skill standards among technicians.
The first is UAN Automotive Technician Training, which
comprises six modules covering all the major important issues
for garages including: Vehicle electrics, engine management,
climate control and diagnostics.
All trainees receive full course material and notes and
modules are approved and recognised by the IMI, CPD, ATA and QAA.
To support this training initiative, UAN also offers a
technical helpline for garages. The helpline, run by experienced
automotive technicians, is designed to back-up the module
training and identify, diagnose and solve a mechanics query in
no more than five questions.
