Manbat acquired by Eco-Bat Technologies

Manbat, one of the UK's largest battery distributors, has been acquired by Eco-Bat Technologies Limited.



Steve Sheppard will continue as managing director of Manbat Limited and the business style and strategy of the company will remain unchanged.



The company will report into the European Division of Eco-Bat Technologies Limited, manged by Martin Boddy based at the corporate office in South Darley, Matlock, Derbyshire. Read More..

Scrappage scheme misleading as car prices jump



From ADF ebulletin: The car scrappage scheme may have revived interest in the new car market, but consumer magazine Which? Car has found that some manufacturers have raised their list prices by as much as 14% meaning buyers are often no better off.  





According to the consumer champion body, the price of a mid-range Ford Fiesta has jumped from £11,570 in October 2008 when the car was launched to £13,195 in July 2009 – a massive 14% increase.

BTN moves to bigger and better

BTN Turbo, the UK’s largest independent turbo supplier, has bucked the recession with a move to spacious new premises, as the company celebrates its 35th year.



Still on the western edge of London at Uxbridge, BTN Turbo moved to their new site at Zodiac Park, Cowley on Friday August 14th. With almost twice as much space as before, the company is now even better placed to serve their customers, claims BTN Turbo MD Mark Dickinson. Read More..
