Gates underlines quality

Gates has reaffirmed its product quality to the trade with the production of a block exemption regulation (BER) declaration.

The declaration, from Peter Verdonckt, Gates Vice President, Automotive Aftermarket Europe, reads: 'We hereby declare that Gates products meet the requirements for automotive spare parts, as established by the Commission Regulation (EC) N° 1400,2002 Art. 1 1 t) or u), especially in view of the repair and maintenance operations by professional installers. Have you seen the UAN sign?

UAN has produced a new distributor sign featuring more than 20 of the group's approved suppliers. Each UAN car and commercial vehicle distributor will receive a sign, which can be attached to a building by UAN's business development managers. The sign is designed to effectively promote a distributor's branded offering to customers and highlights the fact that if garages request a brand or product featured on the sign, then UAN distributors can supply it. Rise to top begins even before it was launched!

With figures still coming into UAN, January 2008 looks on course to become a record month for the group and signal a positive to start to the year for UAN distributors and suppliers. UAN believes this growth will continue following the launch of its 2008 incentive trip to Phuket, Thailand at its recently held conference in Prague. Conference sets new standards

United Aftermarket Network (UAN) is celebrating after successfully holding its largest ever distributor and supplier conference in Prague, Czech Republic. More than 160 delegates took part in 600 distributor , supplier meetings in one afternoon during the conference at the Hilton Hotel Prague in early February.
